It would not be too far fetched to say that finding someone who has not had the all time hit song “Milkshake” stuck in their head once upon a time would be rare. When the opportunity presented itself to craft a bespoke suit for Kelis – singer of the multi award winning hit song ‘Milkshake”, the bespoke tailors at Knights & Lords immediately put themselves to work.
Kelis is someone who has a very flamboyant personality and her love for colors is apparent in what she wears everyday. Ashish and Pawan, Bespoke tailors at Knights and Lords, came up with the idea of making a suit using a turquoise green linen and wool blended cloth. To balance the bright color, Kelis suggested it be made as a three piece suit so that it can be worn during formal settings and still be a reflection of her personality. Ashish and Pawan of Knights & Lords decided to put a gold lining inside her suit to symbolize the singer’s heart of gold and her warm nature.
The entire journey of crafting the bespoke suit for Kelis was captured in pictures which can be seen below:
It was the first time for Knights & Lords to craft a suit for a female artist and a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of Ashish & Pawan to do justice to it. We were happy the first lady celebrity they crafted a suit for was the legendary Kelis whose song has lived on for over a decade in people’s heads and hearts. It is certainly a valued star on the list of celebrity client’s of Knights & Lords and a feather on the hats of Ashish & Pawan.
Crafting a Suit for Jay Sean whose talent is multi-faceted – being a singer, songwriter, rapper and beat boxer all at once – was certainly not an easy task for our Bespoke suit tailors and Directors Ashish & Pawan of Knights & Lords. However, Jay Sean was aware that if Knights and Lords can’t do it, then it just can’t be done! So when Jay Sean landed in Dubai for his performance, Knights and Lords was contacted to ensure that a suit can be crafted that lives up to the multi-talented personality that Jay Sean has. Ashish & Pawan paid Jay Sean a visit and the memorable journey began.
Jay Sean took time to select each and every detail of his suit along with the guidance of our Bespoke tailors Ashish & Pawan making sure every single detail is a perfect reflection of his multi-faceted personality. After all Jay Sean in a singer, song writer, rapper and beat boxer all at once. His song “Down” which features Lil Wayne remains to be a record holder for the number of awards it has won. To craft a suit for someone of his caliber required a lot of thought.
Ashish & Pawan of Knights & Lords suggested that they craft a double breasted suit for Jay Sean so that it gives him the prominence and presence his personality deserved. The process of fittings and the end result were captured in pictures which speak for themselves and can be seen below:
Ashish & Pawan were happy that they were able to craft a suit that did justice to the multi-talented personality of Jay Sean which they were told by Jay Sean is only the first of many suit commissions that will follow.
Luis Fonsi, singer of the all time hit song “Despacito” which holds the record of being the most viewed video on YouTube having over 4 billion views, had performed his famous hit song at the Global Gift Gala 2017 in Dubai during DIFF (Dubai International Film Festival) wearing a tuxedo suit crafted by Knights & Lords. He chose to get his suit crafted by Knights and Lords because of his love for fine details and spent over two hours discussing all the different aspects of his tailored tuxedo. He chose to wear a three piece tuxedo with a double breasted waist coat to go with his magnetic personality and infectious smile.
The entire journey of crafting the tuxedo suit for Luis Fonsi was a very memorable one for Ashish & Pawan of Knights and Lords also because it was the first time he had performed his hit song Despacito in a Tuxedo. The entire journey was captured in pictures which can be seen below.
His great style, infectious smile and warm nature will always be remembered by Ashish & Pawan at Knights & Lords. It has been an absolute pleasure to have Luis Fonsi on the list of the esteemed clients of Knights and Lords Bespoke Tailors.
Mike Tyson – the ultimate boxing legend, heavy weight champion and Hollywood Celebrity, was in Dubai to launch the Mike Tyson Academy. Part of the launch events also included a gala dinner for which he wanted a Bespoke Tuxedo that would be a perfect fit for his powerful personality and he chose to wear a Tuxedo crafted by Knights & Lords Bespoke Tailors.
During the suit fitting of the great Mike Tyson, Bespoke tailors Ashish and Pawan believed they had done justice to his powerful personality and unique physique but did not know what to expect. They put the suit on Mike Tyson and hoped for the best and what followed was completely unexpected.
Bespoke Tailor Pawan of Knights and Lords almost got his ear bitten during the suit fitting of Mike Tyson!
If that wasn’t enough of a surprise, Bespoke Tailor Ashish of Knights & Lords got a punch thrown at him from Mike Tyson himself!
Later Ashish and Pawan understood that this was Mike Tyson’s way of expressing his love and gratitude for the great work that had been done on his suit. He was ecstatic and thanked Ashish & Pawan of Knights and Lords with a warm hug. The legendary Mike Tyson is a true gentleman with a heart of gold, a quality and a side of him only a privileged few have been able to see. Ashish and Pawan have been lucky enough to be one of them.
As expected, Mike Tyson carried the Tuxedo with great style at the Gala dinner of the launch of the Mike Tyson Academy as can be seen below.
And thus, Knights & Lords has had the privilege to add the legendary Mike Tyson in their list of clients and continue to get suit commissions from him till today.
Ashish & Pawan, Savile Row trained Bespoke Tailors and Directors of Knights & Lords, are regularly called to the Burj Al Arab Hotel to craft bespoke suits for Royals and Heads of State who cannot visit the Knights & Lords tailoring house due to security protocol. In one instance they were told to visit the Burj Al Arab to do a suit fitting for the King of Uganda who holds the record of being the youngest reigning Monarch in the world as he was crowned King at the young age of three and a half years.
His Majesty King Oyo of Uganda takes his dressing very seriously and hence consults his mother just like every other serious decision he takes in life. His mother plays a big part in how he is perceived by the public and makes sure he stands out as royal and regal at all times. His wardrobe mainly consists of double-breasted suits to signify is royalty and importance in state affairs.
Incidentally, Channel 4 UK was doing a documentary on the 15th anniversary of the Burj Al Arab called “The Billion Pound Hotel” and the entire process of Knights & Lords doing the suit fitting for the King of Uganda was documented and featured as part of the documentary which can be seen below.
Knights & Lords has had the pleasure of counting the King of Uganda as one of its clients ever since as he regularly visits Dubai and continues to commission suits from Knights & Lords.
